Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kardiyoloji Anabilim Dalı, ANKARA Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death and morbidity, and advanced age is a major risk factor. Normal aging results in significant changes in cardiovascular structure and functions. Most of the normal age related changes in cardiovascular structure and functions are readily identifiable on echocardiography. Pathological conditions could also be identified by echocardiographic modalities. In this paper, we aimed to review echocardiographic changes seen in elderly population.
