Classification of dementing illnesses can provide more accurate approach during the establishment of healthcare plans and projects. Most common disorders which cause dementia may be different according to socio-geographic distributions and different populations may need different action plans for these disorders. Classifications of dementing disorders may provide a rational information for the action plannes. There are various classifications based on mechanism, pathology, and clinical features. In the individual base, every patient must be evaluated for etiological or patogenetic aspect of the dementing disorder within dementia classifications.
