The aortic valve disease in the elderly, in terms of etiology and pathophysiology
and treatment methods which can be applied shows significant differences.
Valvular aortic stenosis in elderly patients is usually due to stiffening,
scarring, and calcification of the aortic valve leaflets and the frequency of aortic
stenosis increases with age. The vast majority of these patients have aortic stenosis
or combined aortic stenosis and aortic regurgitation and pure regurgitation
is uncommon. In this article, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical symptoms
