AN EVIDENCE BASED REVIEW OF SIGNIFICANCE OF PHYSICAL THERAPY AND EXERCISE IN OSTEOARTHRITIS

Osteoarthritis is a heterogenous disease of the synovial joints. Physical
therapy procedures and exercises are a part of the non- pharmacological treatment
of osteoarthritis. In this paper signifi cance of physical therapy procedures
and therapeutic exercises are reviewed in the light of current evidences.
