Though it may be needed to determine the exact identity of one especially in some of disease processes affecting the intellectual well-being and in cases of criminal identity forgery, it is rarely needed in living cases. In disasters, mass fatalities and criminal violence cases it gains importance to identify the deceased. In this article, the current methods being used in forensic practice for identification of elderly and the importance of identification were tried to stress.
